How we Engage with the Community

Our Reconciliation Journey

Complete Credit Solutions acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples of Australia.

We would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Owners of the Land on which we meet, live, work and learn. We pay respect to the Elders of each Nation – Past, Present and Future – and promote the continuation of the cultural, spiritual, and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.

Over the last financial year, CCS has made progress in developing a better understanding and increasing our cultural awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their wide-ranging cultures, beliefs, kinship systems, and spiritual connection to the environment.

CCS had embarked on this journey with our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a framework that has assisted CCS in leveraging our current practices and diverse spheres of influence to support the national reconciliation movement for the better. We have implemented all 37 initiative activities committed last financial year which is a great achievement!

Read our Innovate RAP

We are proud to introduce the next step in our journey, which is our Innovate RAP, delving even deeper into the core pillars of Relationships, Respect, Opportunities and Governance. Whilst we will be building on some of the past initiative activities such as celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, there is space for our company to take new opportunities for stakeholder engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups.

We want to focus on improving employees’ understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ financial wellbeing and supporting education opportunities through SEDA Scholarships which will have a direct and positive impact on the lives, opportunities, and outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in the hopes that it will help with preventing or breaking the debt cycle that they may be in.

We recognise that reconciliation is an ever-expanding journey and our RAP Champion, RAP Sponsor and RAP Working Group will ensure all employees are informed and engaged with our next initiatives to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of the Innovate RAP.

ESG Statement

Complete Credit Solutions understands that it has a role to play in the current Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) climate. Since the start of 2023 we have committed to embedding environmental and sustainability strategies further into our overall business plans, strengthening our approach to risks and the governance framework and directing capital and resources towards a more resilient and sustainable business. 

In the following focus areas, we have achieved:

Environmental:

  • Ensured main office operations are run from a 5-star NABERS Rated Building.
  • Strategised and achieved a reduction to our electricity and paper usage in comparison with the prior year.

Social:

  • Focused on mental health and wellbeing, engaging an external organisation (Black Dog Institute) to conduct Mental Health Training for our staff.
  • Focused on a social cause charity, donating $1,000 to Share the Dignity.

Governance:

  • Maintained certification with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Completed an annual review of CCS’s governance framework.
